Wino Wednesday | April

It’s here!  Our first Wino Wednesday!  Lindsay and I were so excited to revamp this little linkup so that we can open it up to non wine lovers too and have more of you link up with us.

There are few things that are more fun than meeting your girlfriends for happy hour.  It’s so much fun chatting with your girlfriends, sharing the latest in your lives and sipping on some vino – that’s what we hope Wino Wednesday will be – we can’t wait to chat with you all!  So here we go, and yes I do have my glass of wine next to me as I write this 😉

+ I got my Fab Fit Fun box in the mail a couple of days ago and I LOVE everything that I got.  For those of you who don’t know about Fab Fit Fun, the are a seasonal box where all of the contents are over $200, the box retails at $49.99.  I haven’t tried my products, but so far I think it’s such a great deal – all of the products are full sized and there’s such an array of products which is so fun.  I can’t wait to try all of these, and I’m sure the kids will LOVE planting some herbs with me!

+ I have become obsessed with Essie’s new Spring color “Sunshine State of Mind”.  It’s the perfect color for Spring and Summer – run and pick yourself a bottle – I’m sure it will become your favorite too it’s the prettiest orange you’ve ever seen!

+ You guys, I’m going to be honest – lately I’ve been feeling so uninspired in this little space of mine.  I’m not sure if it’s the beautiful weather or what, but it’s hard for me to buckle down and write a post, and some days I have no clue what to even write about.  If you all have any requests – please send them my way.  #thestruggleisreal

+ Speaking of the beautiful weather, we just had out first pool day yesterday, and it was so nice!  I’m looking forward to Summer breaks and going to the pool with our friends and watching all of the kiddos have fun.

I just need to get some of these big floaties – how fun do they look?!

+ I’ve been trying to purge a lot around the house and make the best use of the space we have here.  I swear with kids, you can never catch up, there are always things to get rid of and re-organize.  My closet also need a huge overhaul as does our garage – it’s overwhelming thinking of everything that needs to get done.  How often do you all purge and organize everything in your homes?

+  For those wondering – I’m sipping on Troublemaker wine.  It was on sale at Publix not too long ago so I decided to try it, especially since I loved the name!  It’s a yummy red blend, so it’s on the sweeter side.  I love this wine, it’s easy to drink and pairs well with food or on its own.  Here are the wine maker’s notes “Troublemaker consists of Syrah, Grenache, Zinfandel, Petite Sirah and Mourvèdre. Syrah is the backbone of the wine, setting the stage for a fruit-forward style and a full body. Petite Sirah contributes to the deep ruby color. Sweet and bright red fruit flavors of Grenache blend with the rustic and lively flavors of the Mourvèdre, while Zinfandel adds its signature zing to round out the blend. “

I hope you all have enjoyed our new version of Wino Wednesday, I can’t wait to read what you all have written and to catch up with you all!

  1. I like the new look Amanda. Now that I see the direction you are taking this, I will have a new twist on it for next month’s party. I’ve enjoyed meeting you here each month for our wine selections. Also like the new button. Will be updating that too. The blog slump, it happens. You’ll gain some inspiration, sometimes we just need to be away from it a bit to gain some new ideas. The wine, sounds like one I would enjoy. Writing down for my next wine trip. Thanks for hosting.

  2. I love purging old stuff from the house – every three months or so I do some cleaning like that but this last time I really took out 3 bags from my closet and it was amazing!! The best part was not instantly filling it back up!! You’ll get there girl! xo, Biana –BlovedBoston

  3. My friend got me a big donut float last year for my birthday and it’s too cool! That box looks so awesome, and the DIY herb kit sounds like something I would love to try. Purging is the BEST feeling. I clean out things all the time, and it’s amazing how much you can get rid of that you really don’t need. Hope you have a nice day!

  4. That box that you got is so fun! 🙂 I still haven’t seen that Essie color, but it is really pretty. Now if spring would just like get here and stay here… I cleaned out my closet a month ago and it felt great. Now if I can just find some motivation to empty and fill the dishwasher today.. haha. I hate doing that. I have been lacking in the blog post motivation dept too haha. I have no idea why. This link up is so fun and I’ll definitely have to participate next time. Thanks for sharing and I hope that you have a great day! 🙂

  6. I love that wine! We had it at my friend’s bachelorette party dinner and the name was perfect! I tend to purge once a year…I have lived in a different house every year for the past 7 years so it is a forced purging I guess! I am loving the new look around here.

  9. I want that flamingo so bad! And I am so jealous that it is pool season already for you! I guess that is one of the many perks of living in FL! I wish I could share in the wine rec’s; but, I have been so cheap lately that I’ve just been drinking boxed Black Box wine. I know gasp! It is the only way I can just have a glass a night and not waste any! Hubs is off the drinking train for awhile and so it’s just me. Excited for our collab coming up!
